What does Love INC do for people in need?  

 

 

Love INC works to match people’s needs with an appropriate source of help; this may involve a referral to an area agency or assistance by church volunteers. Through participating churches we coordinate people, resources and programs to help those in need. Receiving Help from Love INC

 

1. CALL FOR HELP

• Love INC takes new requests for help between 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM Tuesday through Friday at 718-LOVE (5683)

• People who call Love INC for help are usually referred by an area agency or church.
• Office volunteers take the request and then ask some questions to help clarify your situation

 

 

 

2. EVALUATION

• Calls are then evaluated by Love INC staff that verifies the information given and determines what direction would best benefit the caller.

 

 

 

3. REFERRAL

• We first refer people to existing programs offered by area agencies.

• We refer additional needs to church volunteers or church resource ministries

 

 

 

 

 

OUR PHILOSOPHY: We believe that it is important that people play a role in the help that they receive to whatever degree possible. By looking at the resources, abilities, and connections that they have and that Love INC has we’ll figure out how we can best help.

 

 

 

 

OUR LIMITS: Love INC doesn’t help with direct financial assistance. Because we use volunteers, meeting your need can take several days. Love INC provides only short-term assistance
