CASES-FOR-KIDS: Kids helping Kids JavaScript must be enabled to view images. Imagine a child removed from her home in the middle of the night due to domestic violence, drugs or another crisis. This child finds herself in a strange shelter in the middle of the night with nothing but the clothes on her back. She receives a backpack that contains the necessary items to help her get through the night as well as provide comfort items to help alleviate some of her pain and fear. The Cases-for-Kids mission is to provide a child that has been unexpectedly displaced from their home with a backpack, change of clothes, toiletries, an age appropriate toy, a blanket and a small stuffed animal. The goal is to provide them with something they can call their own and to hopefully provide a small sense of comfort through a difficult time. We will provide cases for both boys and girls from infants to 18 years old. Some of the organizations that benefit from this program are: Women Against Violence Inc, Cornerstone Rescue Mission, and Black Hills Children's Home. The theme that Love INC would like to expand on is “Kids Helping Kids”. We hope the children in our community would be more excited and would want to become more involved if they could help out other children in need. Demand is great. The contribution of backpacks, duffle bags or small suitcases filled with necessary items is greatly appreciated.
